"Fairy Princess Rose Garden" by Sunny Crittenden

This is a 12x12", 3D painting cast in resin, created in 2016, and it weighs 7lbs due to the material. This painting has a wire on the back for hanging and will definitely need to be hung on a stud due to its weight.

The wood frame is painted white. In the center of the piece is a Black fairy princess hand-painted paper doll, with freckles, metallic black and pink bangs, her hair in "poofs", and she is wearing a jewelled crown. She has piercing metallic blue eyes and fuchsia glitter eyeshadow. Her wings are made of translucent fuchsia tulle and she is wearing a ballgown made of pink and white, floral and damask paper, with hand-sewn, metallic pink, bodice lacing.

The fairy princess is standing on green, paper grass, in a garden of pink, paper roses that look translucent suspended in the resin.

The background has been splattered with metallic black, pink, and pearl white acrylic paints, and pink and silver glitter has been applied on various layers of resin, to create depth and shadow.

I only really played with resin three times, from 2016-2017, and I didn't like it enough to keep doing it due to the mess and cost, so the resin pieces in my shop are likely the only ones I'll ever do. They are priced accordingly.
