"Angel" by Sunny Crittenden

This is a 12x12", 3D painting cast in resin, and it weighs 7lbs due to the material. There is a wire hanger on the back for hanging.

The wood frame is painted red and gold, with a layer of black, cracked paint over top. There are three layers of white felt clouds with silver glitter around the inside border, each at varying depths of resin for a 3D look.

In the center of the piece is a hand-painted angel paper doll, with blue eyes, and black, shimmery hair, wearing layers of red and gold, glittery, metallic robes. The clasp for her robes is made of a large, gold, 3D broach with rhinestones. Her wings are made of translucent, pulpy, white mulberry paper to achieve a feathered look.

The background is metallic gold, with gold glitter, and small and medium gold, star-shaped sequins at varying layers of resin to achieve shadows and depth.

I only really played with resin three times, from 2016-2017, and I didn't like it enough to keep doing it due to the mess and cost, so the resin pieces in my shop are likely the only ones I'll ever do. They are priced accordingly.
